More rubbish facilities lost

ANOTHER rubbish facility has been lost to boaters.

This time the facilities at Cranfleet Lock on the Trent have been lost, the contractor Biffa being responsible having taken away its bins, Keith Gudgin reports.

No alternative but to close

This left Canal & River Trust no alternative but to close the area yesterday, Thursday, until the problem is sorted.

As the trust state the service is suspended while the access issues are resolved, it would appear that road access was the problem.

It does not not currently have a timescale for when this service will be reinstated.
