That is full of helpful tips and information to help moorers live in harmony with our natural environment, the marina's ongoing exploration of alternative cleaning products featured the testing of white vinegar by our research team.

White vinegar—an economic alternative cleaning product.

Priced at £6.99 for a 5-litre bottle, white vinegar is the most cost-effective option we’ve evaluated thus far. Most of our testers used a 50/50 dilution ratio, which means this bottle can last an exceptionally long time.

Here are the various uses our testers discovered, awarding it a perfect score of 10 out of 10:

The uses

♦ Cleaning windows, mirrors, and other shiny surfaces.
♦ Removing limescale from taps and kettles (recommended to leave soaking).
♦ Acting as a fabric softener.
♦ Cleaning bathrooms, including sinks, baths, showers, and toilets.
♦ Serving as a floor cleaner.
♦ Combined with bicarbonate of soda for effective drain cleaning.

Nearly all participants reported they would replace some if not all of their current cleaning products with white vinegar—a significant endorsement.
